Tofte Trek and Town of Tofte 4th of July Celebration and Fireworks

This annual 10 KM Trail Run on the monring of July 4th is a favorite of locals and visitors alike.
The run starts and finishes at the Birch Grove School on the west side of Tofte. Bring your old running shoes…..it can be very wet and muddy! The morning starts with kid’s short children’s “sprint” races (by age), then a youth Mile Run followed by the pack of runners (and walkers). Music, food, prizes and a good work-out! This is a fund-raiser by the Sugarbush Trail Association for maintenance and upkeep of the xc-ski and singletrack trails.
Resgistration starts at 8 AM and races begin at 9 AM.
$25 pre-registration until July 1st.

Local arts and crafts, tasty food for sale

Beer garden with great live music by Cook County’s Most Wanted at 11 am, Cook County High School plays at 12 noon and in the parade at 2 pm and D’Merritt plays after the parade until 5 p.m.
Parade at 2:00 pm, line up at 1:30 pm on the west end of Tofte Park Road.
3:00 pm Citizen of the Year award presentation
5:00 – 7:00 pm Spaghetti dinner at the Zoar Lutheran Church
Fireworks over the lake around 9:45 p.m.
