Winter Arts Festival featuring Winter Plein Air painting hosted by the Grand Marais Art Colony. Meet these intrepid painters at the exhibit opening reception Fri. Jan. 31 from 4 – 6 pm at the Grand Marais Art Colony.
Plein Air paintings will be on display at the colony through Feb. 23rd.

Friday, January 31 – Sunday, February 2 stay at the Midwest’s largest ski resort with special lodging package!
Saturday evening Torchlight Ski Parade and Fireworks on the mountain at 8 p.m. best viewed from Papa Charlie’s Tavern.
Ridge Riders Snowmobile Fun Run, Saturday, February 1st
locations along the Gunflint Trail. $20.00 registration fee, register at 8:30 am – 12 noon and be on your way starting either from Devil Track Resort or Hungry Jack Lodge. End at Devil Track Resort by 5:30 pm. Evening festivities at Devil Track Resort, all are welcome to join at no cover charge for prize drawings, raffles, food, and music.
Winter Tracks Snow Sculptures

Take a Snow Sculpture tour and see all the diverse and beautiful areas of Cook County, a perfect opportunity to have a video or photo log of your trip!
Start on Hwy. 61 heading North on your tour: Bluefin Bay Resort in Tofte, heading toward Lutsen, turn up Ski Hill Rd. to Lutsen Mountains and Eagle Ridge Resort. Back on Highway 61, on your way to Grand Marais, just past Isak Hansen’s on your right: stop at Solbakken Resort. Onward to Downtown Grand Marais to Harbor Park to view sculptures sponsored by Best Western Plus Superior Inn and Suites and East Bay Suites.
