History Week will include history talks, demonstrations and festive gatherings at historical locations throughout the county.

Friday August 25 | 5:30 pm – Fishcake Dinner, Cook County Historical Society
Saturday August 26 | 1 pm – Harbor History Walking Tour, meet at the Lightkeeper’s Museum in Grand Marais
Saturday August 26 – John Schroeder Day at Cross River Heritage Center in Schroeder. Fireman’s Pancake Breakfast at the Schroeder Town Hall from 8 – 10 am, and activities at Cross River Heritage Center from 10 am – 2 pm.
Sunday August 27 | 10 am – Geology Walk, Sugarloaf Cove in Schroeder
Sunday August 27 | 2 pm – Geology of our Area with Don Wendel, Chik-Wauk Museum & Nature Center
Tuesday August 29 – North Shore Cruise, sponsored by the North Shore Commercial Fishing Museum in Tofte.
Wednesday August 30 | 1 pm – Harbor History Walking Tour, meet at the Lightkeeper’s Museum in Grand Marais
Friday September 1 | 1 pm – Lefse Demonstration: A modern twist on a historic recipe, Lightkeeper’s Museum in Grand Marais
Saturday September 2 | 10 am – Historical Scavenger Hunt, meet at the Lightkeeper’s Museum in Grand Marais
