Plucked Up String Band
Plucked-Up plays original music with the energy of alternative rock and punk bands as a fully acoustic string band ensemble with an unusual line-up of instruments.
Common Ground defines their style as eclecticana…a wide variety of covers and original tunes. Drew Heinonen on guitar/vocals, Jonathan Steckelberg on bass and Bob LaMettry adding percussion.
They are best known for playing rock and classic rock, but also have roots in country and acoustic, as well as other genres of music.
Gene LaFond & Amy Grillo
Gene and Amy have been writing and performing together since 2012. Their emphasis is on acoustic style duet performances of their original songs as well as unique renditions of some of their favorite artists from Dylan to dirt old country.
Since 1988, Joe Paulik has been a fulltime singer/songwriter based in Northern Minnesota.
His songwriting style and impressive vocal range has been compared to Gordon Lightfoot’s and his lyrics to Neil Young, with a repertoire that encompasses The Beatles to Bob Dylan, including an ever-growing collection of original work.
Since 2000, Paulik has completed four CDs of original recordings, which include signature songs The Road, Callings, Treepreacher, and When the Legends Die. Paulik’s haunting, unforgettable voice and delivery are appreciated by audiences around Lake Superior and across the country.
