North Shore Swing Band

The North Shore Swing Band, based in the Grand Marais, MN area since 1999, is dedicated to the performance of music from the Big Band area. This all-volunteer swing band has presented big band dance favorites for all ages, performing at various public events throughout the year. We play many events in the area and are a source of joy for the performers and audiences alike. We are always looking for talented amateur musicians to join our ranks.

Carah Thomas

Singer Carah Thomas has been a student of big band music since she was a teenager. She performs regularly with the North Shore Swing Band, specializing in jazz standards from the 1920’s, 30’s, and 40’s.
