Memorial Day Veteran Ride & Fishing Excursion

The Tread Lightly Off Road Group is hosting a group off road ride on Saturday, May 25th, 2019. The group is sponsoring 6 Vets from Hometown Hero’s to ride along, plus two support staff. On Sunday, May 26th 4 of the Vets will be heading out for a day of fishing either inland or out on Lake Superior.

Hometown Hero Outdoors is a 501(c)3 charitable non profit with the mission of providing law enforcement officers, military service members, and military veterans with outdoor opportunities to assist in healing and building healthy relationships within the community.

Tread Lightly Outdoors is a Grand Marais based group of off road vehicle enthusiasts, who emphasize community and respect for off road vehicle recreation. The group is open to join, and encourages everyone who rides along to bring garbage bags with in their vehicles–leaving the places they travel better off than they were before. All garbage collected is taken in by North Shore Waste for free.
