USFS Summer Naturalist Program

Hosted annually for over two decades, the US Forest Service hosts a summer series of Naturalist Programs at different resorts, campgrounds, and nature sites around Cook County! All programs are free and open to the public. Please wear a mask if unvaccinated!

Schedule:

Tuesdays

10am – noon, ongoing | Nature of Oberg Mountain | Oberg Mountain Trailhead

7:30pm – 9pm | Minnesota Bears | Lutsen Resort

Wednesdays

2pm-3pm | Becoming a Boundary Waters Family | Chik-Wauk Museum & Nature Center

7:30pm – 9pm | Howls in the Night: Wolves | Caribou Highlands

Thursdays

10am – 11:30am | Wildflower Walk | Eagle Ridge

7:30pm – 9pm | Voyageur Life | Bluefin Bay

Fridays 

10am – 11:30 am | Explore the Shore | East Bay Suites

7:30 pm – 9pm | Mostly Moose | Cascade Lodge

Saturdays
