The Cook County Chamber of Commerce hosts a ribbon cutting ceremony
December 20, 2024 – Lutsen, Minn. - Lutsen Mountains, the premier ski destination in the Midwest, celebrated the grand opening of its newly revitalized top floor of the Scandinavian Chalet, now known as the Lofty Gondola, with a festive gathering on December 20th. The event brought together members of the Cook County community and Lutsen Mountains staff to commemorate this exciting milestone.
Attendees enjoyed tunes from Lutsen’s own DJ Beavstar from 5pm to 8pm while taking in the slopeside views from the Lofty Gondola. The event provided an opportunity to connect with the community and meet the incredible staff leading the team at Lutsen Mountains.

"This revitalized space offers a unique and elevated experience for our guests, and we are confident it will become a favorite gathering spot for years to come."
The Lofty Gondola boasts a refreshed atmosphere with modern amenities and a cozy ambiance, making it the perfect après-ski destination. Residents and Visitors can now enjoy live music every Friday and Saturday. Looking for a weeknight activity instead? Stop in on Wednesdays and hear from one of the Midwest’s top songwriters in the new songwriter series! Guests can enjoy the amenities of Lutsen Mountains by soaking in the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. There is fun for everyone to enjoy!
