Local Business Spotlight

Visitors come to Minnesota’s Arrowhead region to enjoy the natural beauty and recreation opportunities, but they also come to experience the services provided by our local business community. Small businesses are the backbone of our economy and provide countless opportunities for growth in our community.

While some businesses are passed down from generation to generation, some are started by former visitors turned residents and entrepreneurs and no two stories are alike. What makes our community so vibrant is the convergence of the different backgrounds and experiences of our business community.

In 2023, Visit Cook County and the Cook County Chamber of Commerce began working with 90.7 WTIP North Shore Community Radio to share the stories of local entrepreneurs through the monthly “Local Business Spotlight” series. This series was created to highlight the community’s economic strength and innovation of both new businesses as well as existing businesses.
