Grand Marais Area Tourism Music Reimbursement Program

This program was developed by the Grand Marais Area Tourism Association to increase and support live music in Grand Marais. The program is valid for stakeholders of Visit Cook County in the Grand Marais Area Lodging Tax District.  

A stakeholder is defined as:

  •  An entity that opts in to marketing/becomes a member through Visit Cook County

  • An entity that collects lodging tax in Cook County, MN

Other eligibility requirements:

  •  open to the general public

  •  tourism related/promoted

  • event submitted to Visit Cook County

Program valid 5/1/26 – 4/30/27

  • Eligible entities reimbursed 100% of payment to musician or band

  • Limit of $3,000 per establishment/member

  • Program subject to blackout dates of the following:

    • Memorial Day Weekend

    • Fourth of July Weekend

    • Fisherman’s Picnic

    • Labor Day Weekend

    • MEA Weekend

    • New Year’s Eve

    • MLK Weekend

    • President’s Weekend
