FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Rachelle Christianson to Lead Small Business Support
A new chapter of collaboration between the SBDC, the Chamber, and the EDA.
April 27, 2026-- Cook County, MN.--The Cook County Chamber of Commerce, the Cook County Economic Development Authority (EDA), and the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) are proud to announce the appointment of Rachelle Christianson as the region’s new SBDC Business Consultant.
While our three organizations—the Chamber, the EDA, and the SBDC—operate independently, we work closely toward a single goal: making sure Cook County Businesses have what they need to succeed. Rachelle’s role is the perfect example of this “separate but together” approach. Rachelle’s role is the bridge between these offices, providing a unified support system for local entrepreneurs.
“We are so glad to have Rachelle on board. Anyone who knows her knows she has poured her heart and soul into our business community for years,” said Linda Jurek, Executive Director of the Cook County Chamber of Commerce. “Her experience and her passion for seeing our local businesses succeed is exactly what we need as we work to support our business owners in today’s economy.”
For the Cook County EDA, the SBDC consultant is a critical tool for maintaining a healthy business environment. By offering direct help with financial planning and marketing, Rachelle will connect entrepreneurs with the specific regional resources that help a business stay strong. Rachelle is already a well-known member of our business community, and this new chapter allows her to bring her own experience as a local business owner to help others succeed.
“Our small businesses are the heartbeat of Cook County,” said Rachelle Christianson. “I’m honored to step into this role and work alongside the Chamber and the EDA to help my neighbors reach their goals. Whether you’re just starting with a new idea or you’ve been in business for decades, I’m here to help support you in any way I can.”
