Community Celebrates The Letteracy Deck's Expansion
Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Celebrates Two Locations in Downtown Grand Marais
June 16, 2025 – Grand Marais, Minn. –The Cook County Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony today, marking the official grand opening of The Letteracy Deck in downtown Grand Marais. Attendees enjoyed a spread of refreshments while celebrating this community-focused initiative.
The Letteracy Deck is a free letter-writing service designed to provide everyone with the joy of connecting through handwritten correspondence. It offers a complete package, supplying all the essentials needed to write and mail a letter, including paper, pens, and even complimentary stamps. This summer, The Letteracy Deck will expand its reach, offering two convenient locations in the heart of downtown Grand Marais: one at the Cook County Museum and the other next to the Lake Superior Trading Post.
This wonderful addition to the community offers a free, engaging activity for both children and adults. In an increasingly digital world, The Letteracy Deck provides a much-needed technology-free haven, inviting individuals to unplug, relax, and reconnect with the simple pleasure of putting pen to paper.
