Visit Cook County & Cook County Chamber Launch Destination Uplift—A Free Digital Marketing Education Program for Local Businesses  
Empower your business with the latest marketing tools and tactics—at no cost.
 

Grand Marais, Minn. (September 15, 2025) - Local businesses in Cook County now have a new, free tool to sharpen their marketing skills. Visit Cook County, in partnership with the Cook County Chamber of Commerce, is introducing Destination Uplift, an online education program designed to help business owners and staff strengthen their digital marketing knowledge.


Through Destination Uplift, Cook County businesses can access a comprehensive library of on-demand courses, live and recorded webinars, and easy-to-follow tutorials—all tailored to the needs of small businesses in today’s fast-changing digital world. Topics include social media strategies, search engine optimization (SEO), email marketing, Google Analytics, and digital advertising.

“Marketing is a vital part of running a successful business, but we know that time and budget are often limited,” said Kjersti Vick, Marketing & Public Relations Director for Visit Cook County. “By offering Destination Uplift at no cost, we’re giving local businesses the opportunity to gain practical skills and confidence in marketing—tools that will help them reach new customers and strengthen our tourism economy.”


To kick off the program, an in-person webinar and info session will be held on Tuesday, October 15 at 11:00 a.m. at Grand Marais City Hall. Business owners and staff are invited to attend to learn more about the platform and how to get started.
