Grand Opening Celebration of Charlie’s Alpine Bistro at Lutsen Mountains
The community and visitors are invited to enjoy live music, local flavors, and alpine ambiance.
LUTSEN, Minn. (August 6, 2025) - The much anticipated grand opening celebration of Charlie’s Alpine Bistro at Lutsen Mountains has been set for Friday, August 15, from 2:00 - 4:00 pm. Just two years since the famed Papa Charlie’s was lost to fire, the new Charlie’s Alpine Bistro is open with an elevated design to bring both comfort and style to Minnesota’s North Shore.
At the Grand Opening celebration, guests will enjoy an afternoon of live music, alongside complimentary small bites that showcase the bistro’s unique culinary style. The bar will be open featuring craft cocktails, wine, beer, and other refreshments available for purchase.
“Charlie’s Alpine Bistro is the perfect addition to Lutsen Mountains, blending a warm alpine atmosphere with flavors that highlight the character of Cook County,” said Linda Jurek, Executive Director of Visit Cook County. “It is exciting to have this new facility with such an outstanding view just in time for peak fall colors.”
Charlie’s Alpine Bistro offers visitors a welcoming spot to gather after outdoor adventures, with a menu that celebrates seasonal ingredients and a setting that reflects the stunning beauty of Minnesota’s Sawtooth Mountains. Learn more about the project and new lodging facilities here.
